Gabor Maté, M.D. is the bestselling author of “When the Body Says No”, “Scattered Minds”, and "In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts – Close Encounters with Addiction". His by-line has often been seen in the Globe and Mail, for articles and commentary ranging from health to politics. He is dynamic, effective and inspiring speaker and seminar leader. He is presently staff physician at a clinic in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Dr. Maté is the respected colleague Dr. Gordon Neufeld referred to in his presentation to our members last year when he spoke about the importance of attachment for children. As well, Dr. Maté co-authored, with Neufeld, the book, “Hold on to Your Kids”.
